Churchill serves about 450 students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

The School Leadership Team consists of staff, the building principal and a parent representative. Its role is to help support the building goals and objectives and plan staff development opportunities to align with our building’s School Improvement Plan.

Our staff works in collaborative professional learning teams to plan and deliver core curriculum instruction and interventions. As a school, we continue to reflect and further enhance our instructional strategies.

We utilize a positive behavior intervention system that fosters an environment which teaches and reinforces responsible, respectful and safe behavior.

Churchill has an active PTA that supports many student- and family-centered activities throughout the school year.

The KASPER program is housed at Churchill for before- and after-school childcare services, as long as enrollment warrants the need.

Churchill has found success in the use of the multiage curriculum model and will continue using a multiage setting for all curricular areas except math during the 2011-12 school year. Students in a multiage setting have the unique opportunity of having the same teacher for two years. We believe that this setting fosters social and academic development that helps students reach their full potential and develop a positive relationship with their teacher.
