Dissecting Owl Pellets in Room 118

Room 118 at Churchill Elementary School developed archeologist skills by dissecting owl pellets as a lab experiment in their science class!  Ms. Hanley’s 5th and 6th grade class studied ecosystems and got to see how animals are a part of them through this experiment.  the students very carefully used toothpicks to dig out rodent or bird bones; they then labeled the bones and taped them down to make a skeleton formation on paper.  It was an exciting experience for these scientists!
