Dear Churchill Community,
Welcome back to our returning families and welcome to Churchill to our new families! We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful summer filled with time spent with family and friends. We can’t wait to hear about your amazing adventures.
As you prepare for the start of a new school year please read below for updates and reminders to get us off to a great beginning.
Steve Kern and Carol Novak
In order to ensure your child is placed in a classroom for next school year, please make sure you have completed the registration process. Students who are not registered will not be assigned to a classroom. Call the office if you have any registration related questions at 847-357-6300.
Those who have completed the registration process will receive an email on Friday notifying you of your child’s teacher. As you know, the staff has worked diligently to place every child in an environment which best suits his/her learning needs; therefore, placement changes will not be honored.

Digital citizenship parent informational meetings
This year District 54 is going to be issuing a digital device to each of our students. Students in Kindergarten through Second Grade will have iPads issued to them for use at school. These devices will not be coming home with the children. Students in grades Third through Sixth grades will have Chromebooks issued to them which will come home with the students every night.
We are extremely excited about the learning opportunities that will exist this year with our students. We have parent informational meetings scheduled to share with you more about the devices and the expectations that accompany the devices. We hope that all parents of Kindergarten through Fifth grade can attend the meeting on Wednesday, August 21st or Thursday, August 22nd. Doors will open at 5:00 and the presentation will begin at 5:30 in the gymnasium.
