#ChurchillPride – September 13, 2019
Dear Churchill Community,
Thank you to all families and students who came to school early Monday morning to enjoy Goodies with Grandparents. It was such a wonderful way to start the morning spending quality time with special people in our lives. Speaking of special people, thank you to our outstanding PTA who organized this event. This event provided our Lions and their families an opportunity to take time for each other and show off their favorite school! 🙂
Steve Kern, Principal Carol Novak, Assistant Principal
Churchill’s picture day is coming soon. Picture day will be Friday, September 27. Check with your child to see if they brought home the order form for you.
PTA Hot Lunch and Memberhub
Our PTA has worked hard to create a hot lunch program for our students. We know that students, and parents :), look forward to this event occuring every other week. At this point the paper registration for hot lunch has ended. However, you can still register your child for hot lunch by going online. For the rest of this semester we will not be able to take cash or checks, however you can pay with a credit card on Memberhub.
Registration for the second semester of hot lunch will take place in January. At that time you will be able to purchase online or on paper with cash or check.
PTA Party Money
You can now pay your PTA Party Money on member hub with a credit card. 100% of the money collected is used to support the student PTA parties; Halloween and spring party. Please support our PTA by donating $7. This can be done via memberhub with credit card or turning the paper registration in to your child’s teacher.

Run to Read
District 54 is hosting its annual Run to Read, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at Dirksen Elementary School in Schaumburg. The day includes school mascot races at 7:30 a.m., 100-yard and 400-yard dashes for children at 8 a.m., a 5K run at 9 a.m. and a 1-mile family walk at 9:15 a.m. You can register at any time, even the morning of the race! The Run to Read is an awesome opportunity to promote healthy living by encouraging your children to exercise, or even better, by joining them on the walk or run. The event also supports our goal of collecting 1,000 children’s books for every classroom in District 54. To register, visit sd54.org/runtoread.
