Dear Churchill Families,
At our monthly assembly this week we discussed what it means to be a Churchill team and how we work hard and support one another. Our lions were honored to have Mary Kay Prusnick join us for all the fun at our January assembly. Our assemblies create a platform for recognition of many students and groups throughout the school! We awarded individuals in all grade levels who have displayed our monthly key of Speaking With Good Purpose. Additionally, students were given the opportunity to enter raffles with their hard-earned lion tickets. Our Dance Club put on a spectacular performance that brought smiles to many. We also looked closely at the student artwork that is on display at the Schaumburg Library. We believe these recognitions create the positive school culture here at Churchill, where we know all of our students are legendary! Be sure to ask your child what they enjoyed from Monday’s assembly.
Our 2nd graders had a special experience this week at the Spring Valley Nature Center. They were able to spend time as a class community exploring nature, seeing new things, and asking questions about the animals and plants around them. We are proud of the way they represented Churchill positively in our community and look forward to more community events for other grade levels in the future!
All good things,
Carol Novak, Principal
