Dear Churchill Families,
We started off this week meeting our buddy partners and spent time getting to know one another. Our students loved making new friends in a younger/older grade classroom. We can’t wait to spend time with our buddies again in November!
Our Key of Excellence for the month of October is Integrity! To show integrity means to do the right thing even when no one is watching. Our students went on an outdoor book walk and read the story Miss Nelson is Missing by James Marshall.
Teachers and students discussed how the characters in the book were/were not showing integrity, they discussed reasons why it may be difficult at times to do the right thing and ways we show integrity each day at school.
Our PTA hosted an amazing Fall Fun Fest on Wednesday. It was great to see so many families attend this event. Our students couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had, staff too! We are so appreciative of our PTA to plan such a wonderful event!
Be sure to ask your child about this week and all the many legendary events that took place!
Have a legendary weekend,
Carol Novak, Principal
