Hello Fantastic Churchill Community!
Happy New Year! It has been awesome to see our hallways filled with energy and smiles once again! I hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating winter break.
We kicked off the week with a PBIS assembly where we talked all about a strong start in the new year, celebrated some past accomplishments, and set our sights on some new goals. The big smiles (pictured above) say it all! As we wrap up our first week of the new year, I wanted to take a moment to share how impressed I have been with our students. Transitioning back to school after a long holiday can sometimes be a challenge, but our students have jumped right back into the swing of things with incredible enthusiasm.
This week, our focus has been on re-establishing our daily routines and reconnecting as a community. From mastering morning arrivals to diving back into math and reading groups, the transition has been remarkably smooth.
I’ve spent time visiting classrooms throughout the week, and I am consistently amazed by:
- The Focus: Students are engaged and ready to learn from the moment the bell rings.
- The Kindness: I’ve seen so many students helping one another remember “the way we do things” at Churchill.
- The Resilience: Even with the crazy weatehr swings and the shift in schedule, our kids have brought their best selves to school every day.
Thank you for your partnership in helping your children prepare for this return. Your support at home makes all the difference in ensuring they feel confident and ready to succeed. We are looking forward to a wonderful, productive second half of the school year!
Have a fantastic week!
