Hello Fantastic Churchill Community!
We are just days away from winter break! Although 2024 is winding down, we are busy at work learning, connecting, and setting ourselves up for a successful beginning to 2025.
At Churchill, we believe in the power of connection and one way we practice that is through the act of recognition. Often, we pause as a school community to write a note of gratitude or to say thank you to those who help us. We also love to recognize the accomplishments of our Lions. This week, we are excited to recognize Tansi and Liora for their art work being recognized on the STR Holiday card. Annually, STR hosts a holiday art competition where student art submissions are selected and oriented on the company’s holiday card. In addition to their art word being chosen, they each receive an award and gift card to recognize their efforts and amazing art! Congratulations, Tansi and Liora, on your hard word and recognition!
Last week, the School District 54 Board Of Education recognized a Blue Apple Award winners from each school. Blue Apple award winners embody what it means to Ensure Student Success by going above and beyond in all they do. We are proud to congratulate Mrs. Piper and Mrs. Quintana as Churchill’s Blue Apple Award winners! Mrs. Piper and Mrs. Quintana work tirelessly to build connections with students and families and bring a smile to every interaction. Congratulations!
We would also like to share a special message below from Mrs. Quintana:
Dear Parents, Students and Fellow Staff Members,
I want to extend my immense gratitude for entrusting me with your confidence, collaboration and kindness during my years at Churchill Elementary School. Due to personal circumstances, I have decided to retire this year following our winter break.
I am very thankful for having the opportunity to work with you and for you, always keeping as a priority the well-being and success of every student.
Best wishes to all for a wonderful holiday break and a very Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Nancy Quintana
